The Flower Shop

We met at a bar called the Flower Shop in the Lower East Side. Angelica was with her partner in crime, Lizzie - and I was with my wingman, Austin. We found each other that night and struck a connection. We closed the bar down and I walked Angelica home.
Numbers were exchanged, but as 20 something year olds in the city - our separate lives carried on.
Last Call

Two years later, we reconnected. I was moving back to Los Angeles and had two weeks left to say my goodbyes. I scrolled through old photos from over the years and saw a photo that Talley took of us the night we met. I sent him a text.
We met for wine at Cervos. Hours went by and our waiter subliminally notified us- “Last Call.”
Long-Distance

Angelica moved to LA, and I was ready to make moves.
Global pandemic or not, I got on many flights to see her. I booked month long stays at random Airbnbs, she taught me swear words in Polish, I taught her how to play Backgammon, I became a man and learned how to cook, we went on roadtrips, I met her friends, had dinner with her family - I was starting to get a feel for life in California with her.

As cherished as those visits were, I wasn’t getting any younger!
“If this is serious, you’ll be an LA resident by September.” 👑
September 1st, Talley signed his first lease in Venice, CA - and that’s when I knew for certain - the future was looking bright.
I packed a bag for two weeks to “help him move in and get settled,” and I never left.
I guess I’m a cat guy now

After a year of living in my tiny Venice studio together through the pandemic, it was time for more space. We signed a lease in Silverlake and I answered her wildest dreams. WE GOT A CAT. Moby is my guy now.

We went back to one of the first places we roadtripped together and got engaged in Big Sur on September 3rd, 2024.
